See Dr. Fortney's Dimensions profile that includes: publications, grants, datasets, patents and clinical trials
I conduct pragmatic trials and implementation trials to test the effectiveness of clinical interventions and the success of strategies designed to promote the uptake of evidence-based practices. My research focuses on rural health disparities, access to care, and the integration of mental health care and primary care.
I chose this work because I believe access to high quality healthcare is a basic right.
I hope to help overcome health disparities by using virtual technologies to improve access to effective mental health care.

Veteran Reported Outcomes for Referrals to Community Care Providers Compared to Referrals to Regional Tele-Mental Health Hubs

Wednesday, March 17, 2021 12PM (noon) ET

Veterans with poor access to mental health services at VA Medical Centers are eligible for Community Care or regional Telemental Health Hubs. This project compared patient reported outcomes for veterans referred to Community Care and Telemental Health Hubs.
Intended Audience: Researchers, clinicians, staff, and policy makers interested in make or buy decisions, and evaluating referral options for veterans in underserved CBOCs.
